Let's Catch Up, Shall We?

It's been a couple months. Time flies when you're having fun! Not that I didn't mean to get at least four different blogs done in the last two months, but they just didn't happen. October brought lots of canning for us at home while Bryant gathered, weaned, and shipped calves. After all the stress of that was done, we headed to see friends in Wyoming for our vacation this year. We had a blast after the driving was over. I think I just might ask Santa for a portable DVD  player this year. It suddenly seems like a brilliant idea. If you are still doubting, entertain a one year old for ten hours in the car.

First stop was to visit my grandparents, aunts, and uncles in Wilson. She has two cousins that are within 6 weeks of her age. They sure had a blast playing! A huge enjoyment for me since there aren't kids her age to play with at home.

She also loved watching the ducks in the creek.

We left Jackson, and ran into this. I thought- oh no this will be a long day. We don't have a snow car. We have an economic car.

But it cleared up and we drove, and drove, 

and drove some more.

We borrowed a DVD player, but she thought it was fun to push the buttons. She'd get mad when it turned off the movie. Right about here I wish I had a TV head for a kid, but she doesn't watch TV at home.

Who knew that mirror that's been in the book for months would entertain for about an hour. For the most part she travels well, but the last hour and a half was spent screaming. She was done with that silly car seat.

Once we reached our destination. We stayed home all week! Bryant thought it was great fun going to work with Justin, and MaKatie played with Ezra and Atlee. Once again making my life so nice. I didn't have to entertain hardly at all. I thought it was cute because Atlee really likes to watch people and MaKatie loves having an audience.They got along great! While Crystal and I had someone to visit with. It was a nice week. Crystal was a great host. She fed us so well I gained 8 pounds while I was there. Yikes!

After all the playing was done, we went home for a couple weeks.With this trip and a week at Bryant's parent's for Thanksgiving, we were gone for two whole weeks during November. It was lots of fun, but it sure is nice to be home for a while too.
