Late Birthday Wishes for MaKatie

So it's been almost 6 months... but here are her birthday pictures finally. Grandmas, I didn't lie... I am just slow at getting them for you to see.

The weekend before her birthday we took her to play. We started at the aquarium. It was lots of fun. Looking back, I think it was fun but miserable all at the same time... I was in my first trimester and sick. Balancing when I needed to eat and nothing that smelled to much, etc. But it was totally worth it.

That afternoon we went to the water park. She loves to swim! This water park wasn't as fun as I remembered it being as a kid, but she didn't know any different.

The birthday cake. I tricked a friend into helping me. I baked and she did most of the decorating while I sat there in amazement at how much work it was. Next year I think I'll just pay her to make one for me.

This guy and his wife (who is taking all the pictures) get the award for traveling the farthest for some birthday cake. It sure was fun having Grandma and Grandpa come.

I learned my lesson... no one listens when you tell them not to bring a gift. This girl was so spoiled! Mom over did it on the invites (probably 20 people there). I may have set my bar too high this year?

I can't believe how much she has changed in just five months. It's crazy how fast they grow, learn, and develop. Her latest stage (and I hope it doesn't last until she has kids of her own) is knowing more than mom. She's potty training right now and does pretty good most days. We've started moving into a nicer house across the street yesterday. A big thanks to everyone who has offered to drive hours to come help us move. It makes us feel very loved! And today marks day one of Trimester 3. That's a huge celebration in my book. I felt the best around now with MaKatie and history seems to be repeating. I love feeling better than I have in the last 6 months. Notice I said better not great. I look forward to going into labor. That labor that is so hard seems to cure so much so fast.
