Easter Weekend

Lots has happened here at our household since I've blogged last. We've moved across the street to a nicer home (pretty close to the same size), gotten just about everything ready for baby number two to arrive, and some days spring teases us here. Today I am going to share about our Easter weekend. I'll come back and do pictures on new house and other adventures later.

Megan came for the weekend to visit. It was fun having her here. MaKatie made her read about 150 books and I don't think that number is too exaggerated. I on the other hand being eight months pregnant, kept things low key this year. We dyed some Easter Eggs, had a ham dinner, had the Easter bunny drop off a basket for MaKatie, and let her find some eggs in the yard. The weather was beautiful.

Around the first of March, MaKatie became obsessed with her purple flip-flops. Only she didn't own any. Mom had the brilliant idea of the Easter bunny bringing her some. While in the big city we stopped at Old Navy to pick some up. The famous two pairs for five bucks. I thought she'd forget about them. Well after asking me a thousand times I let her have the pink ones. She wore them non-stop for several days until I hid them. Her toes were so sore. She even wore them to bed the first night. Occasionally still as she crawls into bed, she asks to wear them. Silly girl!

Helping Megan add glitter to our eggs.

What the Easter bunny brought me. Notice the purple flip flops? Its all about her pink ones, she could care less about the purple ones. Oh well, mom tried.

I found one finally. It was probably good we didn't go to a public egg hunt. She loved it, but she took forever to find her eggs.

Our finished dyed and glittered eggs.

Finding more eggs.
